August 26, 2018-Water up to our Knees!

This last week was good!

Noel passed his baptismal interview! President Lacanienta interviewed him! Its also Angel's Birthday today. We actually celebrated it yesterday. Julie invited us all over and the members. It was awesome. We had to walk through water up to our knees to get to their house! The rain gathers up when it rains this bad. So it was so deeeeep! But it was totally worth it. The food was awesome and we got to take some home! Brother Noel's baptism will be next Sunday!

Eurie is Riazans little sister. She went to the District Conference with us. She's cool. She's friends with this member so it works out good, its just she has this sassy attitude and doesn't really like getting taught by us. But she likes the Church. And apparently Riazan is mad at one of the sister missionaries because he has a crush on her but she doesn't talk to him xD Riazan is only 14. Hes funny. But hes doing good. Their family went to Manila this weekend for vacation so they didn't go to church. But we had a couple of lessons with them this week. One lesson there was 13 of them! It was awesome! We reviewed the Restoration lesson with them because some of the aunts missed it when we taught it before. But they say they understand it now really good! So its great!

Mauro is doing super good! Hes super active and its like hes a member now! The baptism is the only thing he is missing! Hes been improving on his Word of Wisdom. Jeron is laying down low. He really wants his leg.

We haven't been able to meet with Richard again.. Apparently every time we have gone over its his nap time. But my companion got his Book of Mormon back and we gave him a new one.

About the people who came up to us and went to church the next Sunday. We weren't able to teach them once this week :((( they kept leaving and were super busy.. They haven't been to church since also :// we are still in contact with them. So were hoping this week we can get with them!

So yeah! District Conference was really good! It was great to hear Sister and President Lacanienta! President came up to me and asked me if it was okay for me to train! So i might train a new missionary this next transfer! We will see. This week is transfer week. So i might get transferred right before Noel's baptism! We will have to see!

That pretty much sums up our week! I love you guys! Have a good week!

On the way to Julie and Noel's house!

August 19, 2018 Awesome Week!

This week we didn't really know where to start! That last week we were kind of getting punted by our investigators. So we decided to go to one of our areas we just switched with the sisters and see what would happen. I use to work in this area before so i kinda knew where people were but we did some finding to start it out.

This is when we met Richard! Hes from Las Vegas and he was a Jockey before! Hes now retired living in the Philippines. Hes Catholic but he likes talking to us! So far we've been able to teach him about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon. He was so shocked about the 1st vision. When we taught it his mouth dropped! It was awesome! We invited him to church but he said he couldn't promise us. Maybe next week he will come! We also get to teach him in English! Its so hard!! Because Tagalog comes rushing to my head when i teach so its taking some getting use to. But Richard has already been reading the Book of Mormon. We also got to teach brother Carlo again. When we were new to the area we would always teach him. Hes awesome he was baptized last year but he has had school on Sunday so he hasn't been able to come to church. But we've been helping him keep his testimony! I love teaching him. His nephew is  9 and not baptized so we teach him also. He said his school is going to finish next month and he will be able to go to church again! So im super pumped! So it made a good start for the week!

After that we visited more with the Morales Family. We reviewed pretty much everything we have taught them and told them they need to start getting serious about this. They are having such a hard time with Word of Wisdom. Turns out Riazan hasn't been going to school at all and hes been hanging out with people he shouldn't doing stupid stuff. SO he cant get baptized yet :( And they didn't go to church this Sunday. So that was a bummer. Were going to keep visiting them tho for sure and help build their testimony more. Hopefully they can exercise their faith and keep commitments!

This week we had exchanges with our Zone Leaders. I worked with Elder Abila. Weve been housemates for coming up on 3 months now. Hes from the Philippines Cayuan Mission So we had tons of fun in their area! Teaching their investigators and what not!

Noel is doing great! We got to teach him again this week. We got him ready for his Baptismal Interview! Hes going to do great! Its next Sunday at District Conference. The baptism is going to be on Sunday, September 2. But i'm nervous i'm not going to be there because we have a transfer day on August 29. So i could be transferred! We will see tho!!

Honestly we taught a ton of people this week. Its hard to tell you about all of them and the things were helping them work out to become true disciples of Jesus Christ, I wish i had the patience to write about every single one but i dont hah! I normally just talk about the progressing ones. So yeah! So hopefully you guys got something out of the ones I did write about.

Love you guys tons. We had to say goodbye to our favorite worker this week. Brother Banjoe. Hes going to study at BYU Hawaii. Im gonna miss him lots and i learned a ton from him.

AH one more. I can tell you about Jeron and Mauro! So brother Mauro when we were brand new to the area with my last companion came up to us and told us who was being taught by the missionaries before and was a super big help. Now hes still trying to work out his Word of Wisdom problems so he can get baptized! I interviewed him for baptism but he wasnt ready yet. So i told him he needs to keep working for it though. Hes close. He will get baptized for sure. Well Jeron is his brother. And when we were new we started teaching him. We all became super close friends. And we loved teaching them but then we got sisters in the branch. SO we let them teach them. Well what I did because I'm the District Leader i told them i want to teach them also. So we switch off with going to them. Well now Jeron really wants to get baptized! So hes been working on things he needs to clear up before he gets baptized! One of them is his fear of not having a leg. He wants a prostetic leg before he becomes active he said. And we have told him its okay if you dont and what nott... but like he still says that he has to have his leg. He was going to get his leg finally but his sister had something bad happened and she was put in the hospital. So all of the focus and what not has been to thier sister. so they havent got the leg yet. But hopefully soon! This next month he should have it. I hope you guys understood that. Mom tell me if that makes sense haha. So yeah since then the Young single adults hang out with Jeron and Mauro and they go to like every activity. They even go with us to teach them. Its so awesome. They are great.

So lots of good happening in our area. Sometimes things get left out and i don't remember them to type. But Conversion is happening! Its awesome to see especially when you were a part of it. The work is awesome.

I will continue to work hard with the time I have left. Just help me not to be trunky. Thats no good. Got to endure to the end right? Well that was our week. We need to get going also. So thats all Im going to write for this week! Love you guys! Have an awesome week.

August 12, 2018

Hey everyone! This week was a good week!

We had Zone Conference! It was great to see other missionaries and catch up! For the first time our whole american batch was there! And shoutout to Elder Jones to hitting one year! Crazy how fast time goes by! Seems like yesterday we were in Liozon together! As for the meeting, we got refreshed about how to incorporate Family History into the work and also how to SHOOT FOR THE MOON! It was an awesome meeting!

This week we taught the Morales Family about the ten commandments and about the Law of Chasity. They took it good and they are excited to live those. They are always wanting to learn its great! On Sunday brother Romano took Riazan to church! They also took their nephew! So they were three last Sunday! It was great they loved it. The classes in church got canceled tho because of the weather. Bummer! They are doing good with the word of wisdom also! Also Riazan has been to church 4x now! So he just needs to be interviewed and he can get baptized. Were still working on the rest of the family though!

Noel is doing good also. They went to church this week even tho outside of their house is up to their knees! Hes excited to get baptized!  We had a sweet FHE at their house this week also!

As for the people we found last week who wanted to get taught by us. They are still there but now the 20 year old girl and the 11 year old boy listen only. And their attitude kinda changed about going to church. Last week it was...oh yeah were going to church this Sunday! to.. we will try to go to church. They said because of the weather they weren't able to to go church. So hopefully the weather doesn't act up this week and make everyone miserable haha. But they accepted to get baptized in September! So thats awesome!

But thats pretty much it for the week! It should be another good week here in the area!

Love you guys!

Awesome Week! Not much more I can say! 8-5-2018

Hey! This week was awesome!

It started off with the news that Pauline was back here in Lubao! I was so shocked because she was supposed to be living with her grandma in a different province. Turns out, her grandparents weren't happy at all with her decision to become a member of the Church. They were trying to get her to go with them to their church and Pauline didn't want to go. Her grandparents exchanged some harsh words so Pauline decided to come back here with her older brother and aunt. They are trying to fix the problem with her grandparents so she can get back to school as fast as possible. I hope everything will be okay. They went to church yesterday here so i'm sure that helped her and gave her lots of comfort. But its still kinda of a mess.

As we were on our way to where they live one day this guy stopped us. This guy and I always seem to see each other so we got started talking, until we were interrupted by this 20 year old girl..she came up to us and asked if they could get taught by us. Well we left the guy we were talking to and headed over to meet their family. We taught the Restoration and they loved it. They are from Manila, the capital of the Philippines and they just moved here for the Dads work. So we set up the next discussion and brought members with us and talked about the Book of Mormon. The next day they went to church with us! They even brought the moms brother! It was truly a miracle! The first week we got to know them they went to church the next Sunday! I cant wait to keep visiting them!

We had our Mission President Interviews this week and I love what President Lacanienta taught us. I've been thinking about it all the time. He said, If Heavenly Father came to Lubao (our area) could he convert every one? we answered yes yes of course. Then he went on saying well he gives us the opportunity to have the chance and to grow. And that is so true. It has helped me this week alot.

Also another highlight of the week. I've been telling you guys in my last emails that we've been teaching Brother Noel these last months. The husband of Julie. And he wasn't really quite getting it and what not. Well!! He snapped out of it and he told us he wants to now get baptized. That's hes going to get himself ready! It was so awesome. I was so overwhelmed. I felt so happy for them. Its been great teaching him and getting to know him. Cant wait for him to get baptized! Julie is also so excited!

Riazan and their family is doing good also. We taught them about the Word of Wisdom. The grandma is worried and has some doubts but, shes willing to try to get rid of her Coffe drinking. That's her only problem. And for the others they are going to work on it too! Since we have been teaching them, I have really seen their testimonies about the Restored Gospel grow! And its great to see their progress. Riazan brought his little sister to church this Sunday! So that was awesome. The others didn't go. But we took members after church and went and visited them and they became friends so we will see how that helps!! Super excited for them!

So lots of good things happened this week and it should make for an even better next week! Love you guys! Have an awesome week!
