Hey Everyone!
This week was awesome!
We had our baptism this Sunday and it went great! Sister Cascasan bore her testimony after and she said she just feel so much peace! And the spirit i felt when she said that was electrifying! It's feelings such as these that you cant find anywhere else!
Now for the Philippines stuff haha that you guys seem to only care about ;) hahaaha i love this place first off. So we get home after probably one of the longest days of my life and Elder Sudweeks decides to shower. I think nothing of it of course until he says, "I'm showering outside tonight" I go and look in the bathroom and theres a spider as big as my hand. So that was awesome.haha. We also met with a minister this week from the Inglesia Ni Cristo. So that was way fun! I felt really bad how they were so blinded from the truth! Hopefully one day they will accept the church!
Another popular thing here in the Philippines that is different than back home is they eat with their hands! So its been really fun to do that! Yes they make fun of me cause im not that good yet haha!
We also carry around sweat rags haha cause we sweat alot lol.
The most dominant religion here in my area is Catholic! Lots and lots! So its good! Cause they know who God and Jesus Christ are already!
Those are brooms btw! Walis is what they call them! Theyre so cool and really fun to use haha!
Also they love basketball here!THose are some pics from a league game they had the other night! We try and play basketball every saturday with Investigators we have so thats a good time! Me and Elder Sudweeks try to not take it too serious
Pic of a Tabo! Haha thats what we use to wipe :)
Pic of the Bapstism too! and the guys were over at the baptismal font thats why they werent in the pic sorry. lol
We've been getting people in the ward to do missionary work with us too so thats been really fun!
the bananas are better here
also its almost mango season so lets go. theyre so good haha.
Also the land is super expensive here so they all build their houses right next to each other. All of the houses are built out of cement! Its crazy! But its awesome! The people here are so nice and theyre such good examples to us! Most of them are living the gospel and they dont even know it!

If you guys wanna chat and ask me questions! Im on here around 11 am! so lets talk and ill answer your questions!

But things have been going good! We have another baptism next Saturday so im pumped for that! Its going to be awesome! Keep praying for me! I need as many as i can get! Love you all!

Elder Breinholt's Funny Story of the Week 3/13/17

this is my gross funny storry for the week. let me know who else i should add haha
or take off

Last week for stake conference we slept over at some missionaries house.because our area is just way too far and what not. 2 filipino missionaries. theyre house is setup with 2 stories. bathroom downstairs and sleeping upstairs.and what not. so at the top of the stairs they have a bucket. and i go whats that for. its filled with pee haha. its their 'emergancy bathroom" i was like oh my gosh thats so gross and what not haha. so were going to bed and im like i would never use that. so i wake up and have to pee. and im like crap. i cant go downstaris and use that bathroom because the stairs make too much noice and i dont wanna wake them up. i could just try to go to sleep. so i try that. i end up just laying there for 20 minutes. no other choice at this point haha. i got up and decided to look at it. i take out against the wall and drag it to the middle of the hall. as im dragging it i step where it was placed. worse decision of my life. my foot got all sticky :( hahahahahaa and i was debating my life at that point. and i couldnt go downstaris and wash it so i was screwed. so i got on my knees and peed into the bucket hahaha. and then i was like crap what am i going to do about my foot. it wasent wet or anything so i just got back in bed :'''''''''( i know its gross haha. and then washed it off in the morning haha.
more to come. next week stay tuned qt's

Philippines Olongapo Mission

2 Months Down For Elder Breinholt 3/13/17

I can't believe its been 2 months! Thats crazy haha! The Philippines is the best let me tell ya about it and what its been teaching Elder Breinholt

Living a Christ-Centered life is the best let me tell ya. M. Russell Ballard said this in his book Our Search for Happiness "The best thing about living a Christ-centered life, however, is how it makes you feel--inside. It's hard to have a negative attitude about things if and when your life is focused on the Prince of Peace. There will still be problems. But faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is a power to be reckoned with in the universe and in individual lives".

So true. I'm so glad i get to be a missionary and experience that. Its amplified x100 when you're a missionary. Seeing 4 of our investigators come to church is a joy that i don't ever want to forget. Seeing the gospel enter their lives is truly a blessing. Yes there's still problems. Yes it is very hard to get use to the culture. Email me if you want some stories haha. I've got them. Yes its hard to get up every morning. Yes its hard to eat plates of rice. Yes its hard to learn the language. And, Yes its hard to study when i want to sleep.

None of that matters tho haha. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is what matters. What matters is the person you want to become. What kind of missionary do I want to be? Who do I want to be for my future family? My future wife?  If i think of this whole thing as the bigger picture it goes by so so so much better. And it has been! Every morning when i don't want to get up. What if my kid needed me to help him fix his toy? boom i get up. you treat the people around you the same as you will treat your future family. I'm not too sure who told me that. but its true! I'm no where close to perfect, but I am trying. And its through this gospel and the Savior I can do that. "And if men come unto me I will show them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them"(Ether 12:27). Turn your weaknesses to him. Get on your knees and plead for his help. I know that he will give you his help. I've seen it in my life and I want it all for you.

Remember your Heavenly Father, "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God"(Mosiah 2:17). This experience has been one of a lifetime so far. I'm so glad to be in the Philippines. It's awesome here. I hope to be the missionary I aspire to be in the future. Take care ya'll this week! Much love from Bagac!

I tried Balut for the first time this week! It's actually really good haha! It tastes like a hard boiled egg! Theres a video in my drive of me eating it! Go check it out! I was so nervous haha! Lots of good times out here in Bagac. Hope ya enjoy, Eat some JCW's for me.
