May 7, 2017 I ate Octopus

This week was a nice week! We had an FHE with the most humble people in the world i swear! The Villiasan Family! It was awesome we ate tacos that we made for them and shared a message about praying as a family! I wish i could be humble like them! They're such good examples to us! On tuesday Elder Sudweeks got food poising! So the mission doctor came and checked out our house. We all good tho! Im glad i didnt get it haha! But i was able to give him a blessing and he was fine the next day! The Preisthood brings miracles! It was awesome. So lucky not to have gotten sick yet! But we taught Emel the rest of the plan of Salvation and she likes it! She likes going to church also so May 20 is still the date shes getting baptized! So thats super good! The youth camp was super fun tho lots of good food! The language is coming better haha. its nice to actually know what everyone is saying now. so thats been going good. 

I ate some Octopus yesterday! It was super good actually haha!

We washed 6 white shirts for 50 cents haha! So that was awesome! Super cheap!

Its kind of crazy to think I'm living in Asia i thought about that today and my mind was blown. so thats cool. go team. everyone is so nice here and theyre such good examples to us! Have a good week! GO TEAM

Our house is reallly really nice so were blessed. Haha we have electric fans on us while were studying btw cause its hot and we don't have air conditioning like all of you lucky people haha!

Hey Everyone!!! This week was fun! We ate a ton of food and now its Mango Season! So were eating a ton of mangoes! They're so good haha! Good news too! Theres a youth camp going on here for 3 days at the Chapel so we will get fed a ton! So thankkkk youuuuu to whoever set that up! They said that Elder Sudweeks has to give a talk and were good to eat! 

We had an investigator at church! So we were super happy about that! Everyone in the branch made her feel super welcomed and she said she liked it so that's really cool! 

As with the others. We were at the house of one of our investigators and this guy comes up and starts talking to us and we ended up teaching him in the days to come and hes going to get baptized in June! So that was awesome haha! Crazy how the Lord will bring people who are ready for the gospel to you! 

This week we showed the Joseph Smith 1st Vision to the Obra Family! And i felt the spirit so strong it was awesome! I was kind of taken off haha! But I'm so greatful for gift of the Holy Ghost! To be able to confirm the truth to us! Its just a great gift Heavenly Father lets us have! So that was super awesome!

Elder Breinholt's Week 4-23-2017

This week was fun haha!

Being a new missionary is fun haha! It's fun to see myself get frustrated haha! All i can do is put my trust in the Lord and pray for his strength! I love this quote from M. Russel Ballard 

"No matter how hard we work, no matter how much we obey, no matter how many good things we do in this life, it would not be enough were it not for Jesus Christ and His loving grace. On our own we cannot earn the kingdom of God, no matter what we do. All of our good works-as good as they may be-are hollow unless they are accompanied by a complete dependence on Christ." M.Russel Ballard

Its great to see the Savior so much in my life. As I pray in Faith and ask for help from Heavenly Father, its incredible to see his hand in my life. I'm so grateful for his example we all have to follow. 

This week we ate 3 lunches on Saturday with Lori Cascasan for a fiesta with some of her family! It was crazy. The food is awesome here and you would all love it!! Elder Sudweeks has Taco seasoning he got in a package so we cooked for a family in the ward! It was so good and so funny so see the situation flipped. to see them eating something new to them! None of our investigators came to church. So that's super disappointing. But we will continue to set a good example for them and hopefully this next week will be better for them! We have 2 really good new investigators. So thats going to be fun to get to know them! Continue to pray for me please! Love you all!
