August 19, 2018 Awesome Week!

This week we didn't really know where to start! That last week we were kind of getting punted by our investigators. So we decided to go to one of our areas we just switched with the sisters and see what would happen. I use to work in this area before so i kinda knew where people were but we did some finding to start it out.

This is when we met Richard! Hes from Las Vegas and he was a Jockey before! Hes now retired living in the Philippines. Hes Catholic but he likes talking to us! So far we've been able to teach him about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon. He was so shocked about the 1st vision. When we taught it his mouth dropped! It was awesome! We invited him to church but he said he couldn't promise us. Maybe next week he will come! We also get to teach him in English! Its so hard!! Because Tagalog comes rushing to my head when i teach so its taking some getting use to. But Richard has already been reading the Book of Mormon. We also got to teach brother Carlo again. When we were new to the area we would always teach him. Hes awesome he was baptized last year but he has had school on Sunday so he hasn't been able to come to church. But we've been helping him keep his testimony! I love teaching him. His nephew is  9 and not baptized so we teach him also. He said his school is going to finish next month and he will be able to go to church again! So im super pumped! So it made a good start for the week!

After that we visited more with the Morales Family. We reviewed pretty much everything we have taught them and told them they need to start getting serious about this. They are having such a hard time with Word of Wisdom. Turns out Riazan hasn't been going to school at all and hes been hanging out with people he shouldn't doing stupid stuff. SO he cant get baptized yet :( And they didn't go to church this Sunday. So that was a bummer. Were going to keep visiting them tho for sure and help build their testimony more. Hopefully they can exercise their faith and keep commitments!

This week we had exchanges with our Zone Leaders. I worked with Elder Abila. Weve been housemates for coming up on 3 months now. Hes from the Philippines Cayuan Mission So we had tons of fun in their area! Teaching their investigators and what not!

Noel is doing great! We got to teach him again this week. We got him ready for his Baptismal Interview! Hes going to do great! Its next Sunday at District Conference. The baptism is going to be on Sunday, September 2. But i'm nervous i'm not going to be there because we have a transfer day on August 29. So i could be transferred! We will see tho!!

Honestly we taught a ton of people this week. Its hard to tell you about all of them and the things were helping them work out to become true disciples of Jesus Christ, I wish i had the patience to write about every single one but i dont hah! I normally just talk about the progressing ones. So yeah! So hopefully you guys got something out of the ones I did write about.

Love you guys tons. We had to say goodbye to our favorite worker this week. Brother Banjoe. Hes going to study at BYU Hawaii. Im gonna miss him lots and i learned a ton from him.

AH one more. I can tell you about Jeron and Mauro! So brother Mauro when we were brand new to the area with my last companion came up to us and told us who was being taught by the missionaries before and was a super big help. Now hes still trying to work out his Word of Wisdom problems so he can get baptized! I interviewed him for baptism but he wasnt ready yet. So i told him he needs to keep working for it though. Hes close. He will get baptized for sure. Well Jeron is his brother. And when we were new we started teaching him. We all became super close friends. And we loved teaching them but then we got sisters in the branch. SO we let them teach them. Well what I did because I'm the District Leader i told them i want to teach them also. So we switch off with going to them. Well now Jeron really wants to get baptized! So hes been working on things he needs to clear up before he gets baptized! One of them is his fear of not having a leg. He wants a prostetic leg before he becomes active he said. And we have told him its okay if you dont and what nott... but like he still says that he has to have his leg. He was going to get his leg finally but his sister had something bad happened and she was put in the hospital. So all of the focus and what not has been to thier sister. so they havent got the leg yet. But hopefully soon! This next month he should have it. I hope you guys understood that. Mom tell me if that makes sense haha. So yeah since then the Young single adults hang out with Jeron and Mauro and they go to like every activity. They even go with us to teach them. Its so awesome. They are great.

So lots of good happening in our area. Sometimes things get left out and i don't remember them to type. But Conversion is happening! Its awesome to see especially when you were a part of it. The work is awesome.

I will continue to work hard with the time I have left. Just help me not to be trunky. Thats no good. Got to endure to the end right? Well that was our week. We need to get going also. So thats all Im going to write for this week! Love you guys! Have an awesome week.
